Harol (“Harol”) attaches great importance to the protection of your privacy and personal data when using the website. We will therefore only process your personal data in accordance with the Regulation of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter referred to as the“GDPR”) and other relevant applicable legal provisions.

With this Privacy Statement Harol wants to inform you, as a data subject within the meaning of the GDPR, and as a user of the website harol.eu, of any processing operations and of your rights as a user.

By using our website, you are deemed to be acquainted with and accept our privacy statement. Where necessary, we will ask you as a user for your informed, free, unambiguous and specific consent to perform certain processing operations when using our website.

Harol processes your personal data to provide the functionalities of the website correctly and intuitively and, where necessary, to respond appropriately to your requests.

The processing of data which you provide through the use of the website is exclusively done for the following specific purposes:

  • Allow Harol to assess your application for certain vacancies and, where appropriate, contact you as well as create a recruitment reserve.

What are your rights?

Guarantee of compliance with the principles specific to the processing of personal data

Harol only processes your personal data:

  • In a proper, lawful and transparent manner in which the processing, as the case may be, is supported on the following basis: consent, legitimate interest, performance of the contract or a legal obligation;
  • In a way that is proportional to the objective set;
  • In the right way;
  • For the duration which is necessary for the purpose in question and which, upon request, will be specifically explained to you;
  • In a manner that includes adequate safeguards against unauthorized access, unauthorized processing and/or accidental loss or damage;

 

Right of access – right of rectification – right of erasure

Any data subject who provides sufficient proof of his identity has the right to obtain from Harol a decision on whether or not to process personal data concerning him and, if so, to inspect the personal data.

You have the right to obtain information about the processing purposes, the categories of personal data that are processed, the recipients of the personal data, the (criteria to determine the) period during which your personal data will be stored and the rights that you can exercise in accordance with the GDPR.

If you wish to use your right to inspect/rectify/delete, Harol will comply with this within one (1) month after receiving the request and only if this right exists in your account. The application must be made by registered mail or by e-mail to: privacy@harol.eu.

Personal data that is incomplete or inaccurate can be corrected or deleted at any time… You can exercise your right to rectification by providing Harol with an additional statement. Harol will comply with this within one month of receiving the additional statement.

Moreover, as a user, you have the right to have your personal data deleted by Harol without unreasonable delay. You can only invoke this right in the following cases which Harol will judge:

  • When your personal information is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed;
  • When you withdraw your consent and there is no other legal basis for the processing;
  • Where the processing is objected to and there are no overriding mandatory grounds for the processing;
  • Where personal data have been unlawfully processed;
  • When your data must be deleted in accordance with a legal obligation;

 

Right to limitation of processing/right to object

As a user, you have the right to obtain from Harol a restriction of the processing if one of the following elements applies:

  • You dispute the correctness of the personal data;
  • Harol’s processing proves to be unlawful and you do not wish to have your personal data deleted;
  • Harol no longer needs your personal details for processing purposes, but you still need them for the institution, exercise or substantiation of a legal claim;
  • Harol should assess the presence of the grounds for the erasure of personal data during this period.

Moreover, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons related to your specific situation. Harol will then cease processing your personal data, unless Harol can invoke compelling legitimate grounds for processing your personal data that outweigh your right to object.

You also have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing if there are legal consequences or if you are able to make such a decision to a considerable extent.

Finally, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes.

Right to data portability

You have the right to obtain the personal data provided to Harol in a structured, common and machine-readable form if the processing is carried out on the basis of your consent. In addition, you have the right to transfer these personal data to another data controller if the processing of your personal data is solely based on your consent.

Right to be forgotten

Whenever you have rightly requested Harol to rectify, delete or process data to a limited extent, Harol will inform each recipient of this personal data, unless this proves impossible or would require an unreasonable amount of effort. You can also receive information about these recipients at any time.

 

Right to withdraw your consent/right to complain

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing on the basis of consent prior to its withdrawal. In addition, you have the right to complain about Harol’s processing of your personal data to the competent supervisory authorities.

Right to information/transparency

In exercising your rights, Harol will always act in accordance with the GDPR and thus provide all the information required in the GDPR in a concise, transparent, comprehensible and easily accessible form which you will receive in a simple language.

The time limits for replying to your requests may be extended in exceptional circumstances, including the complexity/multiplicity of your requests. To that end, Harol will inform you of the extension and the reasons for it within one month of receiving your request.
